REBA is committed to expanding access to renewable energy in the Commonwealth.

Major companies, localities, and organizations across Virginia are making bold commitments to use renewable energy and move us closer to a zero-carbon energy future.

Unfortunately, the Commonwealth’s outdated regulatory framework does not make it easy for any energy customer to acquire renewable energy. The current law tilts the playing field toward existing utilities and leaves customers without any real options.

REBA is pushing legislation, SB 376 & HB 868, to take advantage of our historic opportunity to accelerate the Commonwealth’s transition to a clean energy economy. This legislation allows any customer to purchase 100% renewable energy from any supplier in Virginia licensed to provide it.

As Virginia enters a new era, read our opinion piece in the Richmond Times Dispatch on why we should take advantage of this opportunity to increase access to renewable energy.
