Deputy Director, Communications & Media
Monica Jaburg is REBA’s Deputy Director of Communications and Media, leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive communications strategy to support the transition to a zero-carbon energy system. With a decade of experience steeped in environmental and energy related organizations, Monica leverages the understanding of emerging market trends and stakeholder priorities to create products that resonate with target audiences. Previously, Monica was responsible for the management of the $520 million Renewable Power communications portfolio in support of the Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Energy. Monica’s passion for sustainability and forging a pathway to accelerate clean energy stems from her science-based background; she holds a Bachelor’s in Biology and a Master’s in Energy and Sustainability, both from George Mason University. Monica’s thesis focused on addressing deforestation on the island of Hispaniola and how to reduce the disproportionate impact it has in tropical regions.
